“I am a pharmacist from the UAE and was struggling to find direction in my career until I came across Irfan & Sobia Hashmi's study program. Their mentorship and support helped me overcome a long study gap and pass the KAPS exam with success. I am now inspired to join rural and regional communities in Australia and make a meaningful impact as a pharmacist.”
Shahid Ali (Pharmacist from UAE)
We aim to address the critical shortage of pharmacists in Australia’s rural and regional communities by empowering skilled professionals from around the world. Through mentorship, resources, and community support, we bridge the gap between aspirations and opportunities.
We’ve organized numerous meetups at universities, hospitals, and private gatherings to connect directly with pharmacists aspiring to migrate to Australia. Through one-on-one discussion, we’ve addressed their concerns, answered their questions, and provided advice. Our focus is on guiding them toward career development certifications and training programs to enhance their knowledge and skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for a successful transition into the Australian healthcare system.
With over two decades of dedication, Irfan and Sobia Hashmi- (Founders of the Multicultural Australian Pharmacy Foundation) have become a driving force in revolutionizing healthcare in remote and rural communities across South Australia. Together, they’ve achieved the extraordinary—establishing six pharmacies in underserved areas where access to basic medications and healthcare was once a significant challenge. Their efforts have eliminated the need for people to travel long distances, bringing essential care closer to home.Beyond providing pharmacy services, Sobia and Irfan have made it their mission to create a more inclusive and accessible healthcare environment. They employ a team of multilingual staff who collectively speak 21 languages, ensuring they can connect with and support vulnerable populations in culturally sensitive ways. This commitment has allowed them to build trust within diverse communities and provide holistic care tailored to individual needs. As leaders, mentors, and award-winning pharmacists, Sobia and Irfan embody the values of compassion, inclusivity, and innovation. Their work continues to make a profound difference in the lives of those in rural and regional areas, strengthening the fabric of their communities while inspiring others to follow their lead.
